Terms of Service — Tentus
Effective: April 15, 2026
1. Agreement
By using Tentus, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Use License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use Tentus for personal knowledge management. You may not:
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to hack the service
- Use it for illegal purposes
- Sell access to others
- Scrape or export data in bulk for resale
- Harass other users
3. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your password and OAuth accounts secure
- Backing up important data (we are not liable for loss)
- Complying with laws in your jurisdiction
- Not uploading malware, illegal content, or hate speech
4. Intellectual Property
- Your Data: You own notes and content you create. We have a license to store and process it to run the service.
- Our IP: You do not own the Tentus software, UI, or branding.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
Tentus is provided “as is” without warranties. We do not guarantee:
- Uptime (though we aim for high availability)
- No data loss (use backups)
- No security incidents (we implement reasonable safeguards)
6. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for:
- Lost data or missed briefings
- Business losses from downtime
- Damages from bugs or incomplete features
Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, if any.
7. Indemnification
You indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the service (e.g. illegal content you upload).
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these terms
- Engage in fraud or illegal activity
- Do not pay (if on a paid plan)
You may delete your account at any time in Settings.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. Continued use after notice may constitute acceptance of changes.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
